In October 2013 well known publican Matthew Kelly purchased the Hotel Elliot with former Australian cricketer Shaun Tait.
Matt has over 30 years experience running hotels in Adelaide, and brings a wealth of knowledge to the day-to-day management of the hotel. You can often find Shaun enjoying Hotel Elliot’s seaside hospitality, or occasionally getting behind the bar to pour a beer or two.
The hotel won Best Bistro/Casual Dining – Country at the 2016 AHA SA Awards, as well as being a finalist in the national awards in the same category. This followed a commendation award at the 2015 AHA SA Awards.
The hotel is located at picturesque Port Elliot on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula and offers a welcoming country pub atmosphere, with a delicious menu catering for everyone.
It’s just 350 metres from beach destination Horseshoe Bay and 650 metres from whale spotting Freeman Lookout. Catch the Cockle Train or Steam Ranger, with the Port Elliot Railway Station situated outside the hotel.
